Well, on the subject of the vent server.... it really doesn't get used a whole lot anymore to the best of my knowledge. With the advent of clan chat in-game and the use of IRC, vent kind of fell by the wayside. I think it's only used for special team-based events on a very limited basis these days.

Wait a few minutes and a leader will roam by and swat me on the head if i'm wrong... but i don't think i am...
